A Simple White Dress

The dress is from our latest Mykonos Collection made in Greece. The photo is one I shot at our retreat villa in Cabrera, Dominican Republic. Despite what you might see, hear and read in the media, fashion does not have to be complicated, and you certainly should not have to spend time over-analyzing your wardrobe. You can keep your personal style beautiful yet simple, clean, and relaxed, with a few basic staples…

The Four Elements of True Love

Now available in our sanctuary, and I also assign it to my clients to read. So it seems that I have been looking for love in all the wrong places and with the wrong people for over four decades, without knowing that all along, the answers come from within. I have always been a lover of knowledge, philosophical wisdom, and mystical phenomena, always searching for that one spiritual teacher to…

Can Wearing White Raise Your Vibrations?

Photo by Maria Perez Leiva, crochet top from our Italian Collection I have been a strong believer that the colors you wear and surround yourself with can have a profound impact on your energy level and mental well being.  In fact, I believe that colors can transform your life and help you attract what you want, as well as keeping away what you don't want. As for me, since the beginning of…

Traveling in Style

Hiking in the town of Cabrera, DR. The cutie in the back wants my hat! (Photo: Colleen Wolak) Greetings, it has been awhile, and I am back from a much needed Goddess sabbatical. If you live where I live - or have traveled to many major cities - I will bet that you have come across people who you instantly know are tourists, especially the North Americans (*smiles*).  I really never understood the concept…

The views are stunning and the water…

Venetian Harbour of Chania, Crete

I can't be in Rethymno, Crete without visiting Chania's beautiful Venetian Harbour. The old port is pretty and much bigger than Rethymno.  From Rethymno, we took a comfortable one-hour bus ride to Chania for less than 10 Euros.  Like Rethymno, Chania is also full of shopping, churches, old buildings, cafes, restaurants, and many smokers.  We even saw a very old woman with no teeth smoking outside the bus station in the…

Visit Old Town Rethymno

As promised, in addition to my last post about fashion in Rethymno, below are some more photos of Rethymno, Crete that you must see.  My only thing is I will not be going back to the Greek Islands during the month of August.  A bit too hot for me. I would prefer May or September.  Next, I will share with you photos from Chania. (more…)

Visit Hoi An, Why Don’t You?

I vividly remember the first time I returned to Vietnam in 1997 after 15 years of living in U.S.  As we arrived Ho Chi Minh City,  my heart was beating so fast, so hard, so full of emotions and excitement and tears of joy.  Is it real?  Am I finally returning to the country where I was born? Since then, I have returned to Vietnam numerous times.  I have been…
