You Rock! magnets“I would be happier if…
I made more money
I was in a relationship
I lived in a bigger house
I had a better boss
I had a different boyfriend/girlfriend
I had a pet
I lost some weight…”

Sound familiar?

I think we all have been there. Growing up with very little resources, I used to think that one day I would make a lot of money and life would be happier for my family and I.  Well, I can tell you that is not exactly so.  But all those things are merely external.  Life is too short.  Make everyday your happiest day ever!

The way to do that is to know yourself and be true to what is inside of you.  Discover happiness from within.  When you can do that, your energy will exude outward and others around you will want to do just the same and you know that energy is contagious, good or bad.

I came across the quote below that I thought was so profound. I hope you will like it.

Promise Yourself
To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

Did the above quote stirred some feelings of inspiration inside of you the way it did for me?  Most importantly, respect and honor yourself.  Don’t ever compromise who you are, your morals, your values, or your beliefs for the sake of others.  As much as I love being of service and accommodating to others, those are things I will never compromise. Until next time…
